Annual Meeting Recap
The 59th AEIRS Annual Meeting brought imaging and radiologic sciences educators together in San Francisco for 3 days of learning, collaboration, celebration, and connection. Held July 15–17 at the Grand Hyatt San Francisco, the meeting offered engaging educational sessions, opportunities to connect with colleagues and industry partners, and time to celebrate the individuals who continue to advance AEIRS and the profession.
From the opening reception to the final educational session, San Francisco provided a memorable setting for members to reconnect, exchange ideas, and strengthen the professional relationships at the heart of the AEIRS community.
The Annual Meeting began Wednesday with educational programming and opportunities for members to reconnect with colleagues from across the country and beyond. The Welcome Reception brought attendees together for an evening of conversation, networking, and the chance to experience the AEIRS community before 2 full days of education and professional activities.
Thursday combined education, organizational business, and celebration. During the Business Luncheon, members heard updates on the Association and learned about initiatives that will continue moving AEIRS forward, including new opportunities to strengthen the organization's international reach.
Members also welcomed AEIRS's newly installed leaders and recognized individuals whose service, scholarship, and professional contributions strengthen imaging and radiologic sciences education.
The day culminated in the Honors Ceremony, where Paula Pate-Schloder was recognized with Life Membership and Dr. Cheryl DuBose delivered the 2026 Honors Lecture, Courage to Lead: Navigating the Future of Imaging and Radiologic Sciences Education. The ceremony celebrated leadership, service, and the lasting contributions AEIRS members make to the profession.
Friday continued with educational sessions addressing the challenges and opportunities facing today's imaging and radiologic sciences educators. Throughout the meeting, speakers shared research, innovative teaching strategies, leadership perspectives, and practical approaches that attendees could take back to their institutions and programs.
The Annual Meeting also created space for conversations that happen beyond the formal educational sessions. Whether connecting over a meal, visiting with exhibitors, sharing ideas between presentations, or catching up with longtime colleagues, attendees demonstrated what makes the AEIRS Annual Meeting special: a professional community built around learning from and supporting one another.
