POSITION: Full-Time Faculty Radiologic Technology

DEPARTMENT: Allied Health & Career Programs

SUMMARY: The Radiologic Technology Faculty will perform instructional responsibilities as required.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Must demonstrate teaching skills by selecting and implementing instructional strategies for teaching and assessing student achievement of the learning objectives of the program.

Teaching faculty will:

• Meet with courses and laboratories at scheduled times.

• Instruct, advise, consult with and evaluate the performance of enrolled students.

• Develop and maintain course outlines, syllabi, lesson plans, course reference/bibliography, assignments, tests, and other course materials.

• Maintain student records, attendance, grades, and/or other documentation as required.

• Participate in department meetings and comply with department decisions regarding instructional matters.

• Participate in department and institutional assessments of student learning and in department and institutional surveys.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Holds, at a minimum, a bachelor's degree

• Proficient in curriculum design, evaluation, instruction, program administration, and academic advising;

• Documents three years’ clinical experience in the professional discipline;

• Holds current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in radiography

• Holds current Illinois radiologic technologist license PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Documents two years’ experience as an instructor in a JRCERT accredited program;

• Doctorate preferred

• Addition American College of Education MR credential

• Knowledgeable of the JRCERT accreditation

• Three 3-5 years’ experience in teaching in a college level in a JCERT accredited program.

• Experience with developing didactic and clinical outcomes/curricula on a program and course level.

• Excellent technology and classroom management skills.

STATUS/SALARY: This is a regular full-time position with salary to be determined by placement on the faculty salary schedule commensurate with education and experience. This is a 9-month position that includes the following employee benefits: $15,200 Annual Flexible Health Benefit, 12 Medical and 3 Personal Days Earned within First Year of Employment, and 11 Holidays.
